Pivot Baby has arrived! We are now featuring a section devoted to the littlest eco-smarties. Pivot Baby is launching with the full line from Chicago-based company Chapter One Organics.

Onesies, rompers, dresses, tops, bottoms, blankets and bibs! We’re adding a whole new vocabulary to the shop! All pieces are organic cotton and produced in the U.S.

I was very happy to see this article about Fulton Market in the Chicago Tribune last week. So many people come down to our neighborhood for dinner at one of the many amazing restaurants, but fail to explore what else we have to offer. No, not all of the shops, restaurants and galleries are lined up in neat little rows. There’s some exploring to do. But isn’t that part of the fun and allure of living in a large, dynamic city?

But it’s most exciting to see pieces from our wonderful designers out and about on our fantastic clients. Off the racks and at work, out to dinner, dancing at parties, running errands or lounging at home is where I want to see more and more eco-smart fashion. I was obsessed with The Uniform Project the minute I heard about it via a friend’s lovely design blog. One dress worn for 365 days and documented. It’s an amazing exercise in sustainable fashion, executed wonderfully, with a social mission to support education in India. So I was so excited to donate an accessory from Pivot to add to the project! The recycled magazine bangle was featured in Day No. 97’s outfit as shown above.
